Good Teams Rise Above Adversity
The Cubs and Cardinals provide an interesting case study this year, as both teams have had to play with their best player on the disabled list.
The Cubs were 9-5 before Lee got injured, a .643 winning percentage. They are 18-37, for a .327 mark since then (tied with the Royals for worst record in the majors in that span).
In contrast, the Cardinals were 34-21 (.618) with Pujols and are 8-5 (.615) without him.
Interesting.

You were saying? 6 in a row and counting.
And anyway — are the Cardinals so pathetic that their fans actually gain some measure of pride by comparing them to the CUBS?
Touche! Seven now! Is this what it's like to be a Cub fan?
Point well taken! No self-respecting baseball fan should ever have to compare his team to the Cubs.
Lesson: Never post anything about your team during the season - in the words of Horatio Nelson, "Kismet, Hardy!"
